Economic Mobility

In an increasingly information-driven society, rural communities especially, are facing new challenges. These challenges affect people, towns, local governments, businesses large and small, and industries ranging from manufacturing to agriculture.

Our DSPG research teams take an interdisciplinary community-based research approach to tackle community issues such as improving food, housing, job, and public security; advancing community health; and reducing social isolation.

Through Data Science for the Public Good, we have the potential to expand the benefits of research and data insights related to economic mobility and opportunity to some of the most geographically isolated and economically vulnerable communities in America.
